Mince pies, lashings of mulled wine & sackable dance moves, yes the office Christmas party season is upon us again. My friend asked me to whip up a quick poster for his works do and I duly obliged. The date has been changed to protect the venue and the anonymity of said drunken dancers. Good luck to all the photocopiers out there at this difficult time.

The first poster in a series I’ve designed in homage to the best-worst film in the world – The Room. Directed, written and starring the infamous Tommy Wiseau, The Room was released in 2003 to no critical acclaim, but has since gone on to gather a dedicated fan base who appreciate the eccentric, cult film. This poster, entitled ‘Women’, shows the expert philosophy of the character called Mark (played by Greg Sestero) regarding the opposite sex.
This poster can be bought at my society6 store in several sizes or as a stretched canvas.

I was watching The Apprentice last night and it had a task that involved raising awareness of English sparkling wines. It’s probably fair to say that neither team grasped the concept of just making people know that English sparkling wine exists and that it’s bloody good stuff. Inspired by that, I started doodling whilst watching the show and made this bit of artwork which also handily misses the point slightly because I was shoe-horning a pun (Brit pop) in to the design when it was to do with English wines. No disrespect meant to Scotland and Wales but I’ve never heard of wine from there. Although, maybe that’s another ad campaign…

Deconstructed film posters

A few examples from a series of sweet posters from John Taylor available at print-process.com.

In his words A series of prints based on famous film posters with the information deconstructed to minimal blocks of colours, leaving a surprisingly recognisable set of striking and iconic images.”

House warming poster I designed for our new place. I may have changed the address to avoid any potential internet-fueled uninvited party guests. Quite why Sherlock Holmes’ address was the first one to come to mind I’m not sure.
